Can a Facebook Group be removed if it's targeting me?
Groups that exist primarily to harass or target a specific individual can violate Facebook's anti-harassment and Community Standards policies. Evidence of the targeting nature of the group — who it's named for, the content it posts, the members involved — is important to these cases.
What about a group that is impersonating my organization?
A group falsely presenting as your business or organization — using your name, logo, or brand identity without authorization — can violate Facebook's impersonation policies. We assess the group and help build and submit the appropriate report.
Can a private or secret group be reported?
Yes. Even if the group's content isn't publicly visible, Facebook's reporting process allows reporting of groups you've encountered, including closed or secret groups. Documentation of what you've seen and how you encountered the group is relevant.
What if I can't access the group but know it exists?
We work with whatever information is available. If you can provide the group name, URL, or screenshots from people who have access, we assess what options are available based on that information.
How is group removal different from page removal?
